A year ago I featured blue kitchens on my blog and, to this day, have never had as many ‘hits’ as I did that day. There’s just something about a bright blue kitchen! These are some of my favorites…. thx Domino, Pinterest, Belle and Elle Decor
This is the beautiful collaboration of Australian designers Tania Handelsmann and Gillian Khaw. Their ‘thing’ is to marry the contemporary with the timeless to create uncontrived spaces with a balance of spontaneity and refinement. I am always attracted to their work. The blending of heavy materials with soft elements is absolute perfection. Thank you Handelsmann + Khaw

Diane Keaton is one of my all-time favorite designers. Again, she custom-designed this industrial-style, open-concept home herself. It was influenced by New York’s San Remo building, a 1930s Beaux-Arts landmark, where she lived in the 1970’s. The amazing design team at Veneer Designs collaborated with the owners of this suburban home to achieve a rock n’ roll bohemian look with minimal remodeling or disruption to the family. The magic of paint and furnishing is evident in this project. Take a look at the before shots down below! Photography by Amy Bartlam

Iconic materials and attention to detail breathe new life into what was once a working farm building and is now the perfect space to gather, celebrate or relax in style. Thanks Desire […]
Giannetti Home’s design duo, Steve and Brooke Giannetti, discovered this lush five-acre parcel of land in Ojai in 2009. The two of them wanted to build their future ’empty nester’ home even though they now occupy Patina Farm with their 3 kids, 3 goats, 4 donkeys, 12 chickens and 4 dogs! Take a look at my dream […]
As we have all seen, subway tile has been having a huge moment for some time now. It is a classic, easy choice for making your space look clean and updated. It’s been great seeing the variations of placement and grout with a tile we all know so well. Since we’ve been seeing it everywhere […]
Overlooking Flat Creek and the National Elk Reserve in Jackson Hole, Montana, this home was designed to blend with the landscape. This home exemplifies the owners LOVE for natural, wide-open spaces. SO many beautiful details that were tended to….like the hemlock daybed and built in bunk beds that were custom built for the kid’s room as well […]
